This post was published 9 months 1 day ago which may make it out of date. This does not mean the information is wrong, or useless - it is a warning just in case!Download all the addons you need – KTQ, Skillet, Datastore and Altoholic
Hope you enjoyed the video! Please leave a comment once you are done reading.
Also make sure to check out Kevmar’s blog My Auction House Banker.
Again please remember that you do NOT want to use the versions of these addons found on Curse or anything like that. So that means do not update them either using the Curse Updater or WoW Minion or anything – leave them as they are!
Here are the commands used:
Bringing up the KTQ help
/ktq
The macro
/ktq queue 5 Glyphs
The 5 can be changed to whatever number you like, and you can change Glyphs to any name you like.
As mentioned in the video, Kevmar has set up some predefined groups. These are Glyphs, RareGems and EpicGems. As you may have guessed using this as the name will craft all the Glyphs, Rare Gems or Epic Gems we can create.
You can also chain together multiple queues in a single macro, just add a new line below with the details, so this would craft 5 of every type of both Epic and Rare gems.
/ktq queue 5 RareGems
/ktq queue 5 EpicGems
There are some minor corrections however:
First of all, to make use of the BonusQueue, SkipSingles, Threshold or Fallback you have to first enable them – which I didn’t mention in the video. Here’s the code for each;
/ktq enable bonusqueue
/ktq enable skipsingles
/ktq enable threshold
/ktq enable fallback
Next, I said that the threshold used the Auctioneer appraisal price, so was fairly useless. Kevmar explained to me however that it actually uses the latest Auctioneer scan data, and if the current lowest selling auction for each glyph is below your threshold – it won’t queue it.
For example let’s say you just scanned the AH and your threshold is 3g, it checks all of the current glyphs on the AH and if there any glyphs where the lowest sale price is under 3g then it won’t add it to the queue.
Finally I didn’t mention the use of the fallback. What this does is if you have a threshold set, and yet there is none of the item in your latest AH scan, it will queue the item.
If fallback is turned off any glyphs that are not currently for sale on the AH will not be queued – this is good if you don’t want to run the risk of creating glyphs that sell for under your threshold.
But it also means it will not queue glyphs even if they might normally sell for over the threshold, which is a loss in sales. By turning it on this means if there are no glyphs of a certain type on the AH, it will queue the glyph anyway.
These settings are apply to everything you craft using KTQ, so be careful if you use it for more than just glyphs however.
A bit long winded maybe, but all fairly simple.
Again thank you Kevmar for such a great addon! Please leave comments in the blog letting me know if you liked this video.

I loved the video. Learned a lot from it, specially about those last few options (Bonus Queue, Skip Singles…). Keep up bringing stuff like this! <3
Thanks for the video guide. It will make it easier for more people to discover and use it.
Kevmar´s last blog ..AHK, G15, and other Jedi Magic
It looks good, but still isn’t quite what I’m looking for. I don’t sell all the glyphs so wouldn’t want to maintain a stock of all of them. At the moment I have custom groups set up in ATSW (similar to Skillet) and I just go through each list using altoholic to tell me how many I have and add them manually to the queue. It is a bit more laborious than this addon though.
Hulan´s last blog ..I Did It!
Pure awesomeness, thanks to both of you!
I have a couple quick questions can I remove glyphs from the preset group (glyph of sap for instance) or do I just rely on the threshold feature?
Second, is there a way I can make ktq (via altoholic) ignore certain guildbanks? My hordie is in a good guild but I play almost solely on alliance, also I don’t want glyphs crafted for my raid guild (thus in that gbank) to count against my glyphs crafted for sales.
Hey Sarainy, I just DL’d all the mods and when I try to hit the macro, it brings up a LUA error and it doesnt work, I dont know why this happens, please respond!
Great video, very informative while not being too long. Now that I know how creating glyphs can be so easy, the only thing holding me back is using an addon to sell them. Can you recommend a good guide on using QA2 to sell glyphs?
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
great video! however the “buy reagents button” is missing what addon is is putting that there skillet?..
@T Bone, have you checked that the addons not included in the zip are there, and the right version (like lsw and/or altohalic)
@Deez (first get a new name) then you can use QA2 or auctioneer depending on your post style, but the best will depend on what you want from the posting program.
@skeet (Pull! Sorry boredom in physics) skillet itself puts that button on but you have to have stuff in the queue, and have skillet and the shopping list open when you open the vendor.
Still need to go play with altohalic to make it ignore the gbanks that aren’t mine.
@zeran ok i fixed it. I had to purchase 1 ink of any kind then the buy button appeared same with the paper. Seems like similar bug like the one in your video.
Glad everyone’s enjoying the video!
@Zeran You can create your own pre-set groups, or you could simply use enough /ktq queue macros (remember a single macro can not only include multiple queues, but also call other macros)
@T-bone It looks like Zeran tried to help out too here :) Did you make sure you enabled out of date addons too? Also if nothing else works and you still can’t sort it then Contact me using the Contact button at the top of the site and I’ll help sort it.
@deezNUTS I’ll be doing a guide on QA2 soon enough :) Look for it next Wednesday!
@skeeter Looks like Zeran sorted you out too ;)
I really loved this video, great work.
However, I’m still not able to get this addon to work. I even tried it by removing all my old addons and the account directory, then reinstalling only these addons, and doing what you said in the video. However I always end up with this error after I type: /KTQ queue 5 glyphs:
Message: Interface\AddOns\KevTool Queue\KevTool Queue.lua:203: attempt to compare nil with number
(there’s a lot of other stuff in the error message but I don’t want to spam it here).
Anyone any idea?
@Wintir First of all, did you use my download link or did you get the addons from anywhere else? Again, use my links if you haven’t as KTQ appears to only work with those versions.
Next try setting all the variables. So type
/ktq BonusQueue 0and/ktq Threshold 0.Next try disabling the BonusQueue, Threshold, Fallback and SkipSingles using
/ktq disablethen the name. Now try using
/ktq queue 5 Glyphsand see if it adds anything. If still nothing, try queuing a specific item such as
/ktq queue 5 glyph of sap.Let me know if this fixes the problem!
Brilliant guide. :) Thanks!
Hey, you going to make that video guide on QA2 ?
Yes, definitely! Things are going to really start moving here soon :)
So another ‘Very Soon’ ™ it seems!
so where do it get the working skillet, if it’s not on curse and the one on wowace is bugged too? without it, ktq is just useless!
It’s right there bellow the video, bundled with all the addons you need :)
/ktq 5 glyphs does nothing for me, it just does the same thing as if i simply typed /ktq
even if i have skillet open. what am i doing wrong
Hi Jay,
I do not play the game anymore, so don’t know if KTQ has changed. However I believe the command is actually…
/ktq queue 5 glyphs
Hope that helps!
